Hinds County and Jackson leaders out cleaning up Jackson streets

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Hinds County and Jackson City leaders were out taking an active approach to cleaning up the capital city Saturday morning with a Community Clean Up.

The cleanup focused on 3 communities: Virden Addition, Grove Park, and Queens. Roll-off dumpsters were available in each one as District 2 Supervisor Tony Smith, Ward 2 Councilwoman Tina Clay, Ward 4 Councilman Brian Grizell, and other community members were out picking up trash.

Some of the trash they picked up on the sides of the roads were mattresses, tires, pipes, and even a kiddie pool…
