The huge new farmers market and makers market at the Dulles Town Center in Sterling officially kicked off today.
Big crowds turned out for the Open Air Market to walk amongst the tents, kiosks, and food trucks to take in the many products being offered by producers from around the greater DMV.
The event is the latest weekend market to come from the folks at EatLoco.org who also put on several other weekly farmers markets in the region.
The new event is scheduled to run every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from now into the fall, and perhaps beyond.
The Open Air Market is unique in that it goes beyond typical farmers market participants. Yes, there are the many food vendors and farmers participating, but the EatLoco team has cast a wider net bringing in artisans and craftspeople to sell their wares as well…
