The U.S. Department of Agriculture will be dropping oral rabies vaccine packets by aircraft across Northwest Georgia — including most of Floyd County.
The operation, scheduled for April 7-15, is part of a nationwide effort by USDA to prevent the spread of raccoon rabies in the eastern United States.
