ST. PETE BEACH, Florida — A man was arrested in St. Pete Beach for allegedly shining a laser at a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, according to deputies.On Thursday, March 27, 2025, at approximately 10:47 p.m., the helicopter was assisting deputies with an aggravated assault call near 6850 Beach Plaza. Deputies reported that flight personnel noticed a green laser being pointed at the helicopter multiple times. The suspect was identified as 61-year-old Dann Wagner, of Marblehead, Ohio, who was on the balcony of a condo at 6083 Bahia Del Mar Circle, unit 360.Wagner admitted to using the laser lighting device, deputies said.
