Jackson-area school closings for Monday, March 31

JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Storm damage and power outages have led several schools in the Jackson area and surrounding counties to cancel classes Monday, March 31.

A significant ice storm Sunday, March 30, caused damage in Northern Michigan and parts of the Upper Peninsula, with downed trees and power lines contributing to widespread power outages. The storms moved to southern Lower Michigan in the afternoon in the region including Kalamazoo, Three Rivers, Jackson, Ann Arbor and Detroit.
