BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — An inmate at Kern Valley State Prison, Oshea Mann, has been sentenced to an additional eight years in prison after he was convicted of head-butting a correctional officer and causing injury, according to Kern County Superior Court records.
The incident happened on March 15, 2019, when Mann, while seated in a hallway chair awaiting medical treatment at KSVP in Delano, “suddenly jumped up and headbutted a correctional officer in the face,” the Kern County District Attorney’s Office reported back on March 6. The officer sustained an injury near his left eye.
