LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two longtime residents of the Louisville Zoo will soon be transferred to a new home, and the community is invited to take part in a special tribute by sharing their memories.
A two-day celebration had been planned for April 5 and 6 for elephants Mikki and Punch, but the zoo rescheduled that to April 19 and 20 because of expected wet weather.
The all-day events will include special keeper talks and interactive activities to celebrate the elephants’ time at the Zoo before they embark on their next adventure at The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee…
