2 Alabama Students Hospitalized After Possible Tornado Tears Roof Off Prep School

Described as an “extreme weather event,” a suspected tornado tore off the roof of an Alabama prep school. As a result, three students were injured, with two of those later transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

The City of Dothan Government issued a statement addressing the incident. Reportedly, the “severe weather event” affected the city of Dothan at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 31. Furthermore, the statement specified that the event, a suspected tornado, impacted the area surrounding the Deothan Preparatory Academy (DPA).

“There have been five reported minor injuries among DPA students,” the statement reads. “Two of these students have been transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.”
