HOBE SOUND, Fla. (CBS12) — Residents of Hobe Sound may see smoke in the sky on Tuesday and Wednesday due to a prescribed burn that is supposed to happen.
According to officials at the Florida Department of Environmental Protections, the prescribed burn will take place at the Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The burn will consist of up to 400 acres of pine flatwoods and scrub in two different locations. The first burn location will take place in the middle of the horse trails on Tuesday, and the other will be on the Camp Murphy mountain bike trail on Wednesday.
