Check swiping scheme foiled after WPBPD officer falls victim

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla (CBS12) — An accused fraudster intercepted a police officer’s over $4,000 check but instead of cash, he earned a trip to jail.

According to the West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) on October 10, a West Palm Beach officer reported the stolen check which was addressed to Fanning Veterans Law and mailed on July 27.
