ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A former Shapiro Metal Supply employee is accused of setting fire to the business after he was terminated.
Maurice Allen French, 39, is accused of starting the fire at Shapiro Metal Supply on Natural Bridge Avenue on Feb. 12, 2022.
Charging documents state that French had been fired from the business on Feb. 9, 2022. Two days later, he returned to Shapiro Metal Supply to collect his last paycheck. While there, he reportedly started aggressively arguing with employees and was escorted from the premises…
