SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – INFORMATION PROVIDED BY SHREVEPORT FIRE DEPARTMENT:
At approximately 2:48 AM, the Shreveport Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at a vacant apartment complex located in the 8000 block of Line Avenue, the city’s south end of town. The call was made by a passerby to the Caddo 911 Center, who reported visible smoke and flames coming from the structure.
Upon arrival just minutes later, Shreveport Fire Crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the upper part of the vacant building. The fire was located in the far west corner of the complex, and due to the severity of the blaze, the fire department had a total of 14 units, staffed by 33 firefighters and support personnel, were dispatched to the scene. After a coordinated effort, the fire was brought under control in approximately 26 minutes. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident…
