PHOENIX — The federal government recently slashed $11.4 billion in public health grants.
Now, Arizona, as well as 22 other states, are suing the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and its secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to try and stop the cuts from going through, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced Tuesday.
These public health grants were enacted as part of the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and many were already set to end in roughly six months, the Associated Press reported…
