(FOX40.COM) — An alert mailman is being thanked by the Citrus Heights Police Department after making a report of ducklings that had fallen into a storm drain.

CHPD said a Citrus Heights Animal Services Officer and a General Services staff member responded and rescued the ducklings that were later reunited with their mother.
“During this time of year, ducklings are naturally attracted to the sound of water, sometimes leading them to fall into storm drains,” said CHPD. “Thank you, Mr. Mailman, for calling this in!”…
