LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KOLO) – A man accused of being a high-ranking member of the gang MS-13 has been indicted in Nevada.
Joel Vargas-Escobar was arrested in New York Tuesday night for his alleged role in a conspiracy responsible for 11 murders.
Also known as Momia, Escobar is also charged with two counts of murder in aid of racketeering as well as various gun charges.
