PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — A Petersburg firefighter was hurt while putting out a fire at the Ivy Gates apartment building Wednesday afternoon.
According to a Facebook post from Petersburg City Fire and EMS , firefighters arrived at a three-story multi-family apartment building the morning of Wednesday, April 2. The building was smoking, with a fire found in the attic.
All of those inside the complex were able to get out safely. While battling the fire, a firefighter was injured — but the extent of those injuries is unclear as of the time of reporting.
