Boyfriend of victim arrested in Raleigh shooting on Fern View Circle, warrant shows

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A Chapel Hill man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a shooting in Raleigh earlier this week that left a woman hurt, a warrant shows.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded Monday afternoon to a reported shooting on the 4100 block of Fern View Circle. Upon arriving, they learned a woman was shot was dropped off at a local hospital by a private vehicle.

Police said the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A warrant filed by Raleigh police identifies 29-year-old Roosevelt Barry Watson as the suspect in the incident. He is accused of breaking into the woman’s apartment and assaulting her with a handgun…
