Road closures due to flooding as severe weather moves through Middle Tennessee

With Thursday’s severe weather, there are road closures across the region.

Cheatham County:

  • Ponding – State Route 112 both directions in Cheatham County – Between DAVIDSON-CHEATHAM COUNTY LINE and CHEATHAM-ROBERTSON COUNTY LINE
  • Ponding – State Route 256 both directions in Cheatham County – Between SR-112 US-41A and CHEATHAM-ROBERTSON COUNTY LINE
  • Ponding – Interstate 24 both directions in Cheatham County – Between MILE MARKER 26 and EXIT 31: SR-249 / NEW HOPE RD.
  • Ponding – State Route 49 both directions in Cheatham County – Between ED HARRIS RD. and WATER PLANT RD.,
  • Ponding – State Route 12 both directions in Cheatham County – Between DAVIDSON-CHEATHAM COUNTY LINE and CHEATHAM-MONTGOMERY COUNTY LINE
  • Ponding – State Route 455 both directions in Cheatham County – Between SR-12 S. MAIN ST. RT. & LT. and SR-12 N. MAIN ST. RT. & LT.
  • Ponding – State Route 251 both directions in Cheatham County – Between SR-249 (SAMS CREEK RD.) RT. & (RIVER RD.) LT. and CHEATHAM-DAVIDSON COUNTY LINE
  • Ponding – State Route 250 both directions in Cheatham County – Between HARPETH CROSSING and OLIN WILLIAMS RD

Davidson County:

  • I-40 EB mm 212 (Fesslers Lane), 2 right lanes and exit lane closed due to flooding.
  • SR 1 (Murfreesboro Pike) is CLOSED near Menzler Road due to high water.

Williamson County:

  • High water has closed several roads in Fairview, including Chester Road, Forest Glen, Sleepy Hollow Road and South Harpeth Road between Pinewood Road and I-840.

Wilson County:

  • Old Lebanon Dirt Rd near Page Dr in Mt. Juliet (between Page Dr and Kelsey Glen Dr) is closed due to high water over the roadway.
  • The left lane of 1-40 WB at milemarker 230 will be shut down due to a non-injury crash that was likely caused by hydroplaning.
