New 42-acre retail development, grocery store coming to this North Texas boomtown

LUCAS, Texas — A Collin County town is getting a new development that includes a major grocery store, a community park and retail spaces.

Younger Partners, a Dallas-based commercial real estate firm, brokered the sale of a 42-acre tract of land in the city of Lucas. The land is at the northwest corner of Parker Road and Southview Drive (FM 1378).

The project will include a 130,000-square-foot shopping center, which will be anchored by a Tom Thumb, according to filings with Lucas City Council. Those filings also revealed a proposed Tom Thumb gas station at the site…
