Good And Bad News For Recently Sold Historic Minnesota DQ

UPDATE: The Minnesota Star Tribune is reporting that the Roseville Dairy Queen location has been sold! The good news is, locals will still be able to get delicious ice cream treats at the historic building. The bad news: the new owner says Dairy Queen is not interesting in remaining in this location, so the ‘old’ DQ will instead turn in to a new store called ‘Dairy Cream.’

The new owner says he hopes to have the new shop up and running by summer.

Dairy Queen has been a (maybe the) staple of a Minnesota summer since its first location opened in the state in 1947. That store, which is located at the Lexington Plaza Shopping Center in Roseville, is currently closed and looking for new owners according to the Roseville Reader…
