A U.S. highway that passes through Wichita and several other Kansas towns will close off a portion of its lanes until June for repairs.
Starting Friday, April 4, the Kansas Department of Transportation will set up traffic control along U.S. 81 from Grand Street to 59th Street South in Haysville to prep for pavement patching, the agency said in a news release.
The following Monday, the patching will begin and both southbound lanes of U.S. 81 will close, with north and southbound traffic being shifted to the northbound lanes. Drivers will still be able to access businesses along the route, KDOT said…
