Friends of Chehalem Trails wants the Newberg community to take a hike, or a leisurely stroll or bike ride, in mid-April to celebrate “Newberg’s cultural heartbeat, its growing parks and the connective power of trails.”
It’s fitting, then, that the April 13 event, slated to begin at 1 p.m., will venture on a 1.6-mile roundtrip route from the Chehalem Cultural Center to Jaquith Park, located on North College Street, and back again.
The journey will be led by Friends of Chehalem Trails members Nick Konen and Matt Dolphin and use Newberg’s sidewalks as “urban trails,” a release said…
