A proposed master-planned Muslim community in Collin County has drawn criticism from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton, but now one of Paxton’s own impeachment trial lawyers is representing the group behind the project.
The East Plano Islamic Center is planning to build a community near Josephine, including 1,000 homes, a K-12 school, athletic facilities, a retirement home, and a mosque.
