Texans do Market Days with heart and help to support the foster youth of West Texas and at the same time find one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones at the Wylie Christian Church.
Why This Market Day Matters More Than Ever
A couple of Saturdays ago, something tugged at my heart. I got up early, got dressed, and headed out to broadcast live from the Wylie Christian Church Market Days. When I pulled into the lot at 6250 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, Texas I remembered why this event matters so much.
This isn’t just another arts and crafts show or fundraiser. Market Days at Wylie Christian Church, held the first Saturday of every month, directly supports youth aging out of foster care, young people who often have no homes, no transportation, and nothing more than the clothes on their backs. It also helps the kids of WCC attend summer church camp and supports food outreach programs during the holidays.

Born From a Pastor’s Passion to Help
It all started with Pastor Roni and a simple goal: to serve the forgotten. And it’s working. These Market Days are changing lives.
Unique Gifts That Speak From the Heart
From handmade jewelry and 3D-printed paperweights to the couple who crafts beautiful wooden crosses, you can wear around your neck, every item tells a story. With Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day around the corner, this is the place to find that meaningful, one-of-a-kind gift that says, “I love you and I was thinking of you.”
Come Hungry, Leave Inspired
WCC members also serve up hot dogs and nachos from the church kitchen, making this a full-family event. The Market opens at 8 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12th, 2025.
A Personal Reminder of What Truly Matters
One of my most treasured gifts came from a market like this, a handprint from my daughter decorated with everything she loved. She wrote: “When you’re having a bad day, Daddy, remember, nothing matters as much as my love for you.”…
