Bible in Selmer debris found open on poignant message

SELMER, Tenn. – The city of Selmer, Tennessee suffered massive destruction as an EF3 tornado with winds pushing 160 mph tore through the city. The devastation to homes, businesses, and lives was virtually unimaginable.

An entire community of mobile homes swept away; cars thrown dozens of miles from where they were parked; business’ roofs ripped off; parking awnings warped; trees bent flat; power poles thrown into the sides of homes; and, as confirmed by McNairy County Mayor Larry Smith, three lives lost.

And yet, through it all, there are reminders of healing…
