Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary, Scottsdale’s only senior dog rescue group, has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Arizona Community Foundation to further its mission to help overlooked older dogs receive medical care and a safe, caring environment during their golden years.
With the Animal Welfare Grant, FLPS will be able to transfer 16 senior dogs in 2025 from overcrowded municipal and community shelters across the state, and provide them with top-tier veterinary care (valued at $1,212 per dog) plus the time they need to recover and find their forever homes.
This will include a thorough medical and dental exam, tests, necessary vaccines, and a microchip and spay or neuter (if needed). Each dog will then be taken to the Sanctuary where they’ll be housed in a “suite” or taken to a foster home where they’ll be cared for until they are adopted…
