Rain, storms continue Sunday night; Cloudy, cool with rain Monday

Sunday was a gloomy, wet, and stormy day across central and south Alabama. Radar estimates suggest several inches of rain fell across much of our area through late Sunday evening. Plus, rain and storms continue Sunday night, especially near and east of I-65. That may lead to not only ponding on roads, but also localized flash flooding. Otherwise, the sky remains cloudy overnight with lows in the upper 50s.

Showers linger across southeast Alabama after sunrise Monday, even into the afternoon. Elsewhere, the sky remains mainly cloudy. Monday looks like a cool days, with afternoon temperatures in the 50s to 60s at best. Clouds clear Monday night, with lows in the low 40s. Tuesday and Wednesday look mainly sunny. However, temperatures only warm into the upper 60s to low 70s Tuesday. Tuesday night lows may fall into the 30s…
