Carnival Cruise Lines looking for ‘Fun-ternship’ summer interns in these Florida cities

Students, are you looking for a summer job? Carnival Cruise Lines is looking for cruise interns for its “ Carnival Fun-ternship Program ” launching in five cities, including Jacksonville and Tampa.

The program will provide 15-20 high school students who are at least 17 years old and “rock a minimum GPA of 2.0.” with six weeks of paid, hands-on experience at Carnival cruise terminal operations. Students would help passengers board and debark, assist with check-in procedures, help find luggage and shadow supervisors for more specified training, according to a job listing .

“This will be more than just a unique, fun summer job. It will be an opportunity for young people to develop professional skills, build confidence and leadership abilities and gain experience in a part of the travel industry that directly impacts their community’s economy,” David Candib, vice president of Port Operations for Carnival Cruise Line, said in a release last week …
