STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is investigating a frightening rape attempt at Silver Lake Park after an attacker accosted a female jogger and pulled her to the ground last week, police said.
In response to the assault, the city Parks Enforcement Patrol has increased security efforts at Silver Lake, according to a source at the department.
