Severe weather death toll rises after man was found dead in submerged vehicle in Sherwood

SHERWOOD, Ark. – The death toll from recent severe weather in Arkansas has risen after a man was found dead.

Officials with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said the search began after the Sherwood Police Department requested the PCSO’s help with a missing person investigation around 2 p.m. on Sunday. Several agencies assisted in the search, including the Sherwood Fire Department and the Pulaski County Office of Emergency Management.

Around 9 a.m. on Monday, PCSO officials said OEM notified them of a submerged vehicle near Rixie Road.
