Car chase leads to one arrest, 1 still at large: Mobile Police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A car chase through parts of Mobile Monday resulted in one arrest, one at large and a car in 8 Mile Creek, Mobile Police said.

According to Roderick Miles, public information officer for the Mobile Police Department, the chase began on Moffett Road when police tried to stop a car believed to be stolen.

The driver refused to stop, leading police on a chase that continued to Beau Terra and Rollins Ave, where the driver then drove the car into a wooded area in the neighborhood, Miles said.

Miles said the car ended up in the waters of 8 Mile Creek and two people swam out. A woman was arrested at the scene, but police are still looking for a man.
