Corpus Christi, TX – A stretch of warm and dry weather is raising fire danger concerns across South Texas, particularly in the Coastal Plains and Brush Country, as temperatures rise into the 90s this week.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, elevated fire weather conditions are expected Tuesday from noon until 7 p.m. due to critically dry fuels and low humidity levels between 15 to 25 percent. Winds around 10 mph are contributing to the fire danger, especially in areas including Laredo, Cotulla, and Alice.

While daytime highs range from 78°F to 97°F through Sunday, overnight lows will stay mild, dipping into the 50s and 60s.
