The man who killed his cellmate at an Idaho prison has received a life sentence.
James M. Johnson was sentenced on April 4 by Fourth District Judge Nancy Baskin to serve at least 35 years — and up to life in prison — for killing cellmate Milo Warnock in 2023, online court records show.
Warnock, 45, was a 1996 Lewiston High School graduate who died after being assaulted Dec. 10, 2023, at the Idaho State Correctional Institution in Kuna. Warnock was serving a 2-to-10-year sentence for a felony DUI charge.
