Two Akron men who played opposite roles in a robbery that turned fatal , which left 19-year-old Javeone Suggs dead, are serving out their sentences handed down by Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Alison McCarty.
Jovonte Dowdell pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, one firearm specification, aggravated robbery and having weapons under disability. He was sentenced to 20 to 22 years in prison. Attorney Joseph Gorman represented him.
