GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The National Weather Service has confirmed that two more tornadoes touched down March 30, one in Kent County and one in Cass County. This brings the day’s statewide total to 12 and the year’s total to 14.
In Kent County, an EF0 tornado touched down at 6 p.m. north of Lowell, in the area of Vergennes and Grattan townships, the NWS said. It developed near 4 Mile Road NE and Byrne Avenue. The NWS reported that a farm outbuilding collapsed, other buildings lost roofing and dozens of trees were downed.
