SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – An adult male was shot and killed at a residence on the 2000 block of Fernwood Dr. on Savannah’s east side Monday at around 3:15 p.m.
Savannah Mayor Van Johnson was on the scene with the identified victim’s family and spoke on the incident at his weekly press conference.
“It’s easy sometimes to look at events like these as numbers,” said Mayor Johnson, “When you’re on the ground you see it’s people. You hug the mom, you talk to the dad, the grandmama is there, seeing the coroner coming there and then removing someone who only an hour before was alive is no longer here, just reminds you of how serious this is.”…
