Suspect crashes company van into PBSO deputy’s vehicle in hit-and-run

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — A K-9 unit ended the search for a suspect wanted in connection to crashing into a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s vehicle.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said on April 5, 22-year-old Axel Nolasco Morales was arrested after a hit-and-run crash involving a PBSO vehicle at around 7:28 a.m. at the intersection of Donald Ross Road and Palmwood Road.

According to the arrest report, Morales was driving a company van when he collided with a PBSO vehicle that was stopped at a red light. The deputy reported experiencing neck and back pain and activated his emergency lights before approaching Morales…
