CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Kirkwood Community College and IowaWORKS have announced a new partnership aimed at streamlining workforce services in the Cedar Rapids area by consolidating education, job training, and employment support under one roof.
The deal will mean the closure of IowaWORKS Cedar Rapids office at Lindale Mall on July 31. The next day on Aug. 1, the two organizations will operate out of a shared facility near Kirkwood’s main campus, creating a centralized American Job Center (AJC) for the region.
