Suspect arrested for using gun in robbery

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A man who allegedly pointed handgun at a store clerk in a robbery on Sunday at Casey’s on 500 N. Kiwanis Avenue in Sioux Falls has been arrested, according to court records.

Aaron Christopher McBride, 24, is charged with first degree robbery, aggravated assault and second degree petty theft. McBride pointed the handgun at the clerk, demanded money and said “don’t do anything stupid or I’ll blow you away,” the complaint alleges.

The clerk denied the request for money. McBride and a second person fled from the store, according to the complaint. Several bottles of liquor including a bottle of Crown Royal, a bottle of Crown Royal Peach and six bottles of Pink Whitney were stolen from the store.

Later that night, McBride left a vehicle and knocked on a door of a residence where he pointed a gun at the resident’s face, the complaint alleges. The resident shut the door and McBride left, the complaint alleges…
