A 250-acre park is being built right off the Trinity River in the center of Dallas. Here’s a look at what it’ll look like

DALLAS — The 20-year vision for a world-class park along the Trinity River is becoming a reality.

City officials broke ground Tuesday for the 250-acre urban green space called Harold Simmons Park, located in the center of Dallas, stretching from the Ronald Kirk Bridge to the Margaret McDermott Bridge. The park was designed with input from local community members, according to officials.

There will be five overlooks creating access points to the Nature Preserve and Trails: West Overlook, Felix Lozada Jr Gateway, Ronald Kirk Bridge, Continental Gateway and East Overlook. The West Overlook will be the first area of the park to be built, according to organizers…
