SPENCER, Okla. (KFOR) — Spencer Elementary has been placed on a secured lockdown after reports of possible gunshots near NE 50th Street and Douglas on Wednesday afternoon.
Oklahoma City Public Schools shared the following message that was sent out to families following the incident.
Spencer Elementary School Families,
Due to reports of possible gunshots nearby, the school has been put on “secure” status this afternoon. Please note that at this time, the report remains unconfirmed. As a reminder, “secure” means no one is allowed in or out of the building, but activities within the school continue as usual.
