I was under the impression that we were in the middle of a quiet period of weather where Missouri would not experience much severe activity, but it appears that I was very wrong. The Storm Prediction Center is now warning that Missouri is at risk of severe storms starting as early as Thursday.
I was happily living in my naive world when I came across Meteorologist Travis Roberts on YouTube who passed along word that NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center had just issued an advisory that placed parts of southeastern Missouri in a risk area for severe weather on Thursday, April 10, 2025. I looked for myself and, sure enough, Missouri is now included in the danger zone for severe storm development.
