Bellevue police issue warning after suspect used online platforms in robberies

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A 20-year-old man who police say used online marketplaces to arrange meetings with people before robbing them pleaded not guilty April 7.

Following the arrest of A Blessing Jamalachi McDaniel, Bellevue police are asking people in the area to exercise caution when using online marketplaces to buy or sell items to strangers.

“Should a person feel like their safety is at risk, they should always put their lives before their possessions and contact law enforcement by calling 911 when they are in a safe place to do so,” a statement from Bellevue police reads, in part…
