On Wednesday night, a fire broke out in the garage of a single-family home at 9400 Holbrook Dr. off Falls Road in Potomac. The incident initially began in a detached garage containing two vehicles and quickly extended to the exterior of a nearby house.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) Chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, approximately 50 firefighters responded to the scene. Units on scene included PE730, PE733, PE710, PE726, E752, T710, AT751, RS703, A730, BC702, and BC703. Firefighters successfully knocked down the bulk of the blaze.
Occupants of the property evacuated safely, and no injuries have been reported. Investigators continue to look into the cause of the fire. Further updates will be provided if more information becomes available…
