Greenville, NC — Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to sweep across eastern North Carolina throughout the day Friday, with the potential for damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes.

According to the National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City, a marginal risk for severe weather has been issued for April 11, 2025. Storms are forecast to develop during daylight hours, impacting cities such as Greenville, Jacksonville, Morehead City, and areas along the Outer Banks including Kitty Hawk and Cape Hatteras.
