Madera County deputy reunites abducted children with mom

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A deputy was recognized after driving hundreds of miles to recover children who were abducted and reunited them with their mother, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office says Deputy Samantha Gutierrez recently handled a case of parental abduction. Gutierrez, following an extensive investigation, was able to locate the children in Bullhead City, Ariz. In cooperation with the Madera County District Attorney’s Office, they were able to negotiate the safe return of the children.

According to sheriff’s officials, Gutierrez, along with DA Investigator Wilmer Inzunza, drove to Bullhead City and recovered the children on Wednesday. The children were reunited with their mother…
