2 dead, 1 identified in Horry County house fire, coroner says

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A woman yelled, “Help me,” to 911 while her house caught fire in the Loris area on Monday, according to an Horry County Police report.

Jennifer Mishoe, 54, was taken to the Loris Hospital after being injured in the fire that destroyed her home on Armview Road. She called 911 and screamed, “Help me,” multiple times before the line went silent, the report said.

Officers found Mishoe at the bottom of the front steps of the home. They moved her a safe distance from the fire and began life saving measures until emergency medical services arrived. She died shortly after arriving to the hospital, the coroner’s office said…
