Bike officers in Seattle’s Belltown make drug arrests only minutes apart

SEATTLE — In incidents only minutes apart, Seattle police officers arrested two suspected drug dealers on Wednesday, found with what was believed to be crack cocaine and recovered cash during patrols in Belltown.

The first arrest happened near 2nd Ave and Blanchard Street — an area known for drugs — shortly after 8 a.m. Officers on bike patrol saw a 33-year-old man who was arrested for selling drugs in the same area a few weeks earlier.

Police said the suspect was seen taking money and giving a man a white rock. The 33-year-old was arrested for the sale and delivery of cocaine. Officers recovered 3.6 grams of crack as well as cash…
