PHOENIX (AZFamily) — With First Alert Weather Days issued for heat in the Valley this weekend, car experts are advising drivers to get their cars checked before we reach high triple-digit temperatures.
Glen Hayward, owner of Good Works Auto Repair in Tempe, said nearing triple digits can make cars vulnerable, especially if we’re not keeping up with maintenance.
“Cars are one of the things that get overly hot or heated because it is exposed to sunlight and high temperatures,” Hayward said. “Ambient temperatures can affect the way a car operates if your car has been overheating, and you’ll end up spending a lot more time repairing what should have been done preventatively.”…
