Anchorage launches ‘10,000 Homes in Ten Years’ plan to tackle housing shortage

Anchorage is facing a housing shortage, with a clear need to accelerate the development of new homes to meet community needs.

Current trends show only a few hundred units are being built each year, but data suggests they city needs 1,000 units built and rehabilitated annually over the next decade to address both aging housing stock and growing demand.
